The Swiss solution for pill identification

Your daily challenge

Nurses, healthcare specialists, healthcare professionals, you regularly have difficulty identifying pills

when you administer pills to patients (control stage)

when a patient asks you to identify a pill

when you find a pill in the patient’s surroundings

With 4’500 pills authorised in Switzerland, recognising a pill outside its packaging can be a complex task.

And in too many cases, the information on the back of an individual blister pack does not identify the pill or its dosage.

According to the Swiss Patient Safety Foundation, 10% of patients are affected by a medication error during their stay in a Swiss hospital. [ ref in fr / de ]

Our solution

is a decision-making tool based on artificial intelligence, available as an application for smartphones (iPhone and Android). You scan the pill to be identified and the application responds with a list of potential matches, sorted in descending order of probability of match. Each suggestion includes the name of the drug, its dosage, the company that markets it, reference photos, the probability of a match calculated by the application, and the drug’s instructions for use.
